Progress

3 days.

3 days of making it to the YMCA to use the elliptical machine for 30 minutes each.

3 days of keeping my calories in check and eating all my servings from each of the food groups.

3 days of allowing myself a taste, a morsel, afew pieces of something sweet and indulgent that in the past I would have overindulged in.

3 days of drinking 12 cups or more of water

3 days off diet soda.

3 days.

It’s progress.

  1. Are you weighing daily?

    How on EARTH can you stay on an elliptical for 30 minutes? I die after 4 minutes. I can treadmill at 3.5 mph for 1/2 hour, though. What’s up with that?

  2. While I am guilty of weighing daily I don’t pay attention to the fluctuations as I know how much it can change daily.

    As for the elliptical, I worked up to it. I couldn’t stay on for 3 minutes when I first tried it in August. I worked up gradually, adding five minutes every week or less depending on how energetic and strong I felt.

  3. Great work so far. I think I may track the same. See if I can do it in sets of 3s – first.. 3 days. Second 3 visits to the gym, then 3 mondays, 3 tuesdays, etc.

    Thank you for doing this. I know it sounds funny but it really does help. I’ve followed suit and made a blog of my own.
