Temptations and Moderation

Yesterday, I accomplished a non-scale victory. I only ate three of my chocolate chip cookies. Chocolate Chip Cookies are my favorite and I have a recipe that is just to die for. I limited myself to three and it was not easy. Normally I would eat them by the hand fulls. I managed to come in within my calorie range–maybe a few calories over, but that’s acceptable.

Today, I am watching the Cotton Bowl with my husband, sisterinlaw and brotherinlaw and our six kids (I have 3, they have 3). I’m surrounded by bagel bite pizzas, fried chicken nuggets, french fries, corn chips and cheese. And I’m resisting the temptation.

I started the day with a berry banana smoothie and fiber one cereal. I had a healthy salad with turkey on it for lunch. I’m drinking water instead of diet soda.

I’m standing strong, because “if it is to be, it is up to me.”
